Biographical note

Studied in 1982-87 at the Faculty of Architecture of the Bialystok University of Technology. In 1987-91, studied at the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw – graduated with honours from the Studio of Printmaking lead by Prof. R. Artymowski, diploma annexes in painting and in drawing. From 25 years practices architecture, interior and furniture design, graphic design, painting, drawing and especially printmaking. Since 1988 lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the BUT Bialystok – Professor of the Graphic Faculty (from 2003 to today) – leader of Printmaking Workshop.

He had several individual presentations in Poland (Bialystok, Cracow, Lodz, Sejny, Torun, Warsaw), Belarus (Brest, Minsk, Vitebsk), Germany (Hameln) and in the USA (New York).

He received 17 awards and distinctions in international competitions (Armenia, Bulgaria, Germany, Korea, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain) and 2 awards in national competitions.

Co-founder and member of the “P·A·K·T Graphic Quartet” established in 1998 (together with Agnieszka Cieslinska, Piotr Zaczek and Krzysztof Roziewicz); so far 7 exhibitions of the group in art centers and galleries in Poland.

Creator and organizer (together with Andrzej Dworakowski) of the “Graficzny Bialystok” project – five editions in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012, and curator of many others shows.

Member of the International Graphic Triennial Society in Cracow and Prism Print International in London, UK.

Works in numerous collections and museums in Poland and abroad, as well as in private collections.
